Never Too Late To Renew.

At the beginning of the year, I believe most of us are thinking “New Year New Me,” and

contemplating what we want to change or work on. I see this as two-fold. One, this can get us

stuck in the trap of maximizing the negative about ourselves and possibly not focusing on the

progress we have made already. I also see it as a chance to reflect on and ask, “What have I

learned (about myself, relationships etc.) in the last year?” I would also think about reflecting on

“What would I like to improve on this year?” When I think of this question specifically, I ask those I work with to think about 4 specific areas. Think about your personal self, professional self (student

and/or work), social self, and spiritual self (includes self-care).

I would love to be able to sit with you and reflect on these 4 areas as I believe it is a good

template to start the year. One of the best ways to start is accepting therapy as an option to help

working on your emotional and mental health, this also helps your physical health as well.
