Better Better Help

One silver lining of the pandemic has been the expansion of available telehealth services for our community. In the midst of this expansion, national-based services like Better Help have offered online telehealth. I have been delighted to see how the playing field has been equalized in terms of access for mental health services.

Just like any service that is offered at a national (versus local) level, there are a few differences I see in what our community-based practice can offer, versus a national provider:

  • We are linked with local pediatricians and physicians and are equipped to collaborate on an ongoing basis.

  • We have connections to our local schools and collaborate with teachers and administrators.

  • We are aware of ongoing developments in our community - developments to be celebrated and grieved.

  • We are here for the whole family and equipped to work not only with individuals, but within entire family systems.

  • We can provide both in-person and telehealth services.
